Elope ... Eloping ... Elopement

Unique Inspiring Personal Private Elopement Ceremonies

for couples who want a no-fuss beautiful and romantic wedding without stress
while retaining control of the arrangements

Eloping in the 21st century is far different to the 'ladder at the window and then off to a hole-in-the-wall ceremony' experience of the 19th and 20th centuries.

It is less about keeping secrets (although there is no reason why your elopement can't be a secret) than about having a wedding that is very personal and stress-free. So you can elope in high style to a luxury hotel or lodge, or marry in jeans and thongs on the beach - or anything in between.

You can elope on your own, bring your witnesses with you, or have a small group of family and friends to celebrate with you. You can elope from another city, state or country, or you can have an elopement ceremony in your own backyard.

Many companies and resorts offer elopement packages, but it is just that a package - their choice of everything. And some will go so far as to tell you that if you attempt to arrange your own service provider for any aspect of your wedding those people will be barred from entering the ceremony site because of "security". So while you reduce the stress you lose control of the experience and it can end up being less than the perfect day you imagined.

An alternative is to make your own arrangements - and instead of paying inflated prices for limited and sometimes tacky choices enjoy a day that is everything you want it to be - no compromises, no disappointments. And if you're truly don't want cake, confetti, and all the other wedding clap-trap, unlike the resort packages, you won't have to. You don't even have to have rings - that's a custom, not a law.

But many celebrants will offer a soulless bare-bones legal ceremony, failing to understand that your are choosing to elope because you are focussed on your relationship, on being together, and that it is therefore important to you that your elopement ceremony, however brief, is romantic and that it truly celebrates your relationship in a warm and personal way.

Because I understand this I offer you a choice of types of ceremony. This means I don't charge the same flat fee for a ceremony for just the two of you and two witnesses as I would for a full-blown white wedding with a large wedding party. And I don't offer you one standard ceremony. Your ceremony will be personalised to you. I also provide advice about lovely (and free) places you can marry if you are not familiar with Brisbane.

As long as you give the full month and a day notice of your intention to marry (which means the notice must be in my hands for a minimum of that period of time,  you don't need to plan far ahead.

All arrangements can be made by phone, email and mail. You can fill out the Notice of Intended Marriage, and have it witnessed by a JP and then mail it to me.  You will need to bring the evidence of your identity and birth date (photo id and birth certificates - passports of foreign countries are also acceptable) as by law the celebrant must sight these before the ceremony can take place.

If either of you has been married before you'll also need to bring proof of how that marriage ended.

Choose from a custom-created ceremony or a ceremony with some choice of content.
