Official Certificate How To tipWhen completing the Notice of Intended Marriage, you can safely ignore the box on the top left of the Notice of Intended Marriage, the one that says FOR CELEBRANT’S USE. It doesn't have to be completed. I never have written anything in it. Not once. In well over 1000 Notices completed and lodged with me.

The Notice of Intended Marriage does not lock you into a day, time or place for the wedding. So you can be married any place (within Australia), and at any time and on any day between one calendar month after the day you lodge your Notice with your celebrant, and the day it expires (18 months after you lodge it).
